Spent a great morning photographing what I can only describe as ice sculpture courtesy of mother nature. The photos are the result of snow melt flooding on the  Wabash River followed by a return to the sub zero temps we have had this winter. The photos are the high water mark frozen on the trees during the flooding as it began to melt. For all you whiners who don't like winter, these are examples of the fragile, short lived beauty you need to get out and enjoy.

Just posted some sad pictures of the demolition of the furniture factory one block over from my home. This was a sad example of how the owner's greed and mismanagement drove it into the ground and left some talented people without a job. I wanted to accent the bleakness of this scene and the combination of black/white and nostalgia skins seemed to express this well.

Here we go again. Last little photographic trip of the summer before school starts and ruins my semi-retirement experience. This was a short trip down to Cincinnati. Always loved the zoo there when I was a child and it has only improved. I did, however, forget how hilly it was and walking up and down inclines are still an exciting experience for my new body parts. I loved the white lion while Mrs. R is providing the bird pix. The real pleasant surprise of the trip was the American Sign Museum which I would encourage you to visit. It's a great couple of hours with a fine tour and a reasonable entry price. Very challenging place for photos but
